Description
Precision Cold Compression Therapy System Precision-Controlled Cold Compression. Safety by Design. Air Cold Core (ACC) combines circulating cold therapy and pneumatic compression in one integrated system — engineered with a calibrated high-precision pressure sensor, real-time pressure monitoring, closed-loop feedback control, and triple-layer pressure protection for orthopedic recovery, rehabilitation, DME programs, and home-based care. 01 — Precision pressure control & triple-layer protection Air Cold Core is designed around two essential priorities: precise pressure regulation and protection against abnormal pressure conditions. Calibrated pressure sensing, real-time monitoring, and closed-loop feedback control work together with multiple layers of pressure protection. Measures actual compression pressure to support accurate feedback — not just preset operating parameters. Continuously monitors actual compression pressure internally during operation. Automatically adjusts compression output based on measured pressure — at the selected 25 or 50 mmHg setting. Representative pressure curves recorded during internal testing under specified test conditions. The closed-loop control system continuously uses measured pressure feedback to regulate compression output according to the selected setting. If monitored pressure exceeds 100 mmHg for 5–10 seconds, the system is designed to activate an alarm and initiate automatic pressure release. An independent mechanical pressure relief valve provides an additional safeguard in the event of electronic pressure sensing or control failure. 02 — Five therapy modes Five selectable modes allow circulating cold therapy and pneumatic compression to be used independently or in combination — so the delivered therapy follows the prescribed plan. Select a mode: Cold therapy · 4–6 h per ice fill For patients whose protocol calls for cooling alone — steady, controlled cold delivered through the pad for the full treatment window. Compression only · 25 mmHg Gentle intermittent pneumatic compression, regulated in real time by the calibrated pressure sensor — no cooling active. Compression only · 50 mmHg A firmer compression setting under the same closed-loop control, for protocols that call for higher pneumatic support. Cold + compression · 25 mmHg The full ACC therapy profile: circulating cold with simultaneous 25 mmHg pneumatic compression in one integrated session. Cold + compression · 50 mmHg Circulating cold with simultaneous 50 mmHg pneumatic compression — continuously monitored against the selected setting. The available modes provide flexibility for healthcare professionals and patients to follow the prescribed therapy plan. 03 — Extended cooling performance Air Cold Core is designed to provide approximately 4–6 hours of cooling performance when prepared with the recommended ice and water quantities — reducing the need for frequent ice replenishment throughout the day. The approximately 4–6-hour cooling duration was observed during internal testing. Actual cooling duration may vary depending on ambient temperature, ice quantity, water volume, and operating conditions. Follow the prescribed treatment schedule and instructions for use. of continuous cooling performance from a single ice fill 04 — Automatic pad drainage Water left inside a therapy pad after use can become a concern — particularly when the system is stored for extended periods between therapy sessions. Depending on water quality and storage conditions, residual water may contribute to discoloration, biofilm formation, and unwanted microbial growth over time. Air Cold Core automatically drains residual water from the therapy pad after treatment, supporting hygiene management while simplifying pad handling and storage. 05 — Integrated combo connector The integrated combo connector simplifies the connection between the main unit and the therapy pad. Fewer separate connection steps make setup and disconnection more intuitive — for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals alike. 06 — Single-use protective barrier A removable, single-use protective barrier separates the therapy pad from the patient’s skin and can be easily replaced between applications. Helps manage condensation-related moisture during and after cold therapy sessions. Provides a physical separation between the skin and the therapy pad for hygienic use. Reduces direct contact with cold surfaces for improved patient comfort. The protective barrier is single-use, while the therapy pad is intended for single-patient use only. Follow the instructions for use for proper application and replacement. 07 — Intuitive touchscreen control An intuitive touchscreen interface simplifies therapy mode selection and system operation — so therapy can be started with confidence in any care environment. Air Cold Core uses a calibrated, high-precision pressure sensor to continuously monitor actual compression pressure internally during operation. The measured pressure is used for closed-loop feedback control. No. Real-time pressure monitoring operates internally as part of the pressure control and protection functions. The touchscreen provides therapy mode selection and operating controls. Air Cold Core offers 25 mmHg and 50 mmHg settings in compression-only and combined cold compression modes. If monitored pressure exceeds 100 mmHg for 5–10 seconds, the system is designed to activate an alarm and initiate automatic pressure release. An independent mechanical pressure relief valve provides an additional safeguard. Approximately 4–6 hours of cooling performance may be achieved from one ice fill under recommended preparation and operating conditions. Actual cooling duration may vary depending on ambient temperature, ice quantity, water volume, and operating conditions. This does not represent a recommended continuous treatment duration. Automatic pad drainage helps reduce residual water inside the therapy pad after treatment. This supports easier handling, storage, and hygiene management, especially when there are extended intervals between therapy sessions. The removable protective barrier helps manage condensation-related moisture, provides physical separation between the skin and therapy pad, and reduces direct contact with cold surfaces. No. The protective barrier is designed for single use and should be replaced according to the instructions for use. No. Air Cold Core therapy pads are intended for single-patient use only.
